Inefficient operations across remote clinics

AMI had been using paper-based record-keeping for nearly 15 years and faced several challenges.

Managing patient records manually was inefficient, especially given the frequent need for remote access and quality audits across multiple clinics.

Previous attempts to transition to electronic health records (EHR) had failed due to the lack of a flexible, low-resource-friendly system that could operate effectively with minimal internet connectivity.

Additionally, gaining buy-in from local staff was difficult, as they had limited experience with digital record systems.

The MyC platform, a fully customizable, low-bandwidth, offline-capable system designed for remote clinics, securely stores and manages patients' medical information. It also ensures GDPR and HIPAA compliance and allowing for real-time data and automated reporting.

From a 3-month run-up for pre-launch planning to on-site training, led by our Africa representative, Byron, who conducted hands-on sessions in the clinics ensured smooth adoption.

We also supported AMI’s staff by offering ongoing, 24/7 communication, training resources and guidance to prepare their team for the transition, ensuring they were well-equipped and confident in using the new digital system.
